Having embedded in the slogan ‘Globalization in Textiles and Sustainable Development’ the first ever National Textile Day has been celebrated on Dec 04, 2019 with much enthusiasm with  different activities throughout the country. In order to raise the awareness regarding facing the challenges of 21^st century and Industrial 4.0 revolution, the Ministry of Jute and Textiles in association with the Bangladesh Garments Buying House Association has arranged a colorful procession and rally along the main points (Manik Mia Avenue) of capital city. Around fifty students of the Department of Textile Engineering, WUB attended the program to make the event successful. Mr. Golam Dostagir Gazi, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Jute and Textiles; President, Bangladesh Garments Buying House Association; Chairman, Bangladesh Textile Mills Association and other distinguished persons participated in the rally. They emphasized on the technological integration in the development of textile sector. Moreover, they highlighted the recent achievements of the current government in this sector and underscored to continue this persuasive journey in the future ahead.
