WUB Holds Seminar on Global Education, Scholarships and International Careers

A seminar titled “Beyond Borders: Preparing Students for Global Education, Scholarships & International Careers” was organized by the Career Counselling Center of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) on September 30, 2026, at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium. The seminar focused on equipping students with knowledge and practical guidance to pursue higher education, scholarships and career opportunities at the international level.

Professor Dr. Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, WUB, attended the programme as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Shapan Kumar Sarkar, Associate Professor, served as the Keynote Speaker.

In his keynote presentation, Dr. Shapan Kumar Sarkar discussed various aspects of global education, scholarship opportunities and the preparation required to pursue international academic and professional careers. He highlighted the importance of academic preparation, skill development, informed decision-making and understanding international opportunities for students aspiring to study or build careers abroad.

The seminar was attended by teachers, students and university officials. An interactive session was also held as part of the programme, allowing students to engage with the keynote speaker and seek guidance on global education pathways, scholarship opportunities and international career preparation.

The programme was organized as part of the Career Counselling Center’s ongoing efforts to support WUB students in developing the knowledge, skills and awareness necessary to pursue academic and professional opportunities beyond national borders.
