The Cultural Club of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has organized a two day ‘Pitha Festival’ on 2^nd and 3^rd February, 2017 at the Auditorium of WUB. The closing ceremony was on 3^rd February 2017. The Chief Guest of this closing ceremony was Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor of the University. He distributed the prizes. Civil Engineering department bagged the first Prize followed by EEE department and Pharmacy department. The consolation prizes went to department of Business Administration, English, CSE, Law, Textile and Mechatronics department.

Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University was present as special guest.  Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer of the University delivered the vote of thanks. In this ceremony Deans; Controller of Examinations; Registrar; Proctor; Heads of the Departments; Faculty members and students of all the departments were present. Quite a good number of Pithas of different types in different sizes, color and flavor were displayed and sold in   25 stalls in this festival.
