Seminar on “Indigenous development of Bio-medical devices to improve health condition of common people: Our efforts”

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, World University of Bangladesh organized a Seminar on “Indigenous development of Bio-medical devices to improve the health condition of common people: Our efforts” on 3^rd December 2022, at WUB Auditorium. Faculty members including students were present at the seminar. Mr. Amit Halder, Sr. Lecturer and Mrs. Liza Bosak, Lecturer hosted the session with welcome speech. Both of them introduced the guests and speakers to the audience. Dr. Md. Riyad Tanshen, Associate Professor, and the Head, Department of EEE received the seminar speaker Prof. Dr. K. S. Rabbani.

Prof. Dr. K. S. Rabbani, Honorary Professor, Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology, University of Dhaka (Founder Chairperson, 2008-2015, Retired: 30 June, 2015) delivered his presentation on biomedical devices and his inventions in this area. The seminar was very informative and worthwhile to the students. The guests and students enjoyed the session and gained knowledge on biomedical sector researches.

Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh was present as the Special Guest. He delivered a short speech with giving thanks to the keynote speaker. He also inspires our students to be a part of this type of research initiatives.

The session was presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Quamruzzaman, Head, Department of EEE, WUB. He highly appreciated the efforts and nice presentation of our honorable guest speaker. He also gave the concluding speech followed by vote of thanks.
