1st International Conference on Textile Science and Engineering at BUTEX

Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) has organized its 1^st International Conference on Textile Science and Engineering at its campus premises on 19^th and 20^th January 2023. The conference were inaugurated by Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and chaired by Prof. Md. Abul Kashem, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX).

Out of more than 200 submitted research papers, only 15 papers were selected for presentation and publication. Among them, a research paper entitled “Investigating the Performance of Dry Processing on the Properties of Denim Garments” of World University of Bangladesh has been selected.

Md. Shamsuzzaman, Assistant Professor and Dip Das, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh have presented their accepted manuscript in the technical session of day 2. Mr. Joy Sarkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology was also present as a co-author. 

Honorable Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP awarded the certificate of appreciation to the paper presenter in the closing ceremony of the conference.
