Victory Day -2023
World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has
observed Victory Day 2023 with due solemnity on the campus. On the occasion of
celebrating the day, a discussion meeting was organized at 11.00 am after
hoisting the national flag on Saturday 16th December 2023 in the Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium. The main discussant was the heroic freedom fighter and Founder Vice Chancellor of World University
of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury. Dr. M. Nurul
Islam, Pro Vice Chancellor; University Registrar, Controller of Examinations,
Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty members and Officials of the university
were also present in the meeting.
Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury
presented a paper on the Victory Day discussion session. In his paper, he
reminisced about the liberation war period and highlighted the significance of
the Great Victory Day. He urged all those present in the session to present the history of the liberation war and the great contribution
of the freedom fighters to the independence of Bangladesh to the future
generations.
Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice Chancellor; Prof. Zaki Imam,
Registrar; and others participated in the discussion and reminisced about the
great liberation war.
On this occasion the World University of Bangladesh campus has
been decorated with colorful lights.
