World University of Bangladesh organized a seminar titled “Uccho Shikkhar Manonnoyon: Protibondhokota O Amader Koronio” on 09 October, 2019 at Jashore Zilla School Auditorium, Jashore. The seminar was attended by Mohammad Shafiul Arif, District Commissioner, Jashore; as the chief guest. Prof Md Abdul Alim, Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Jashore; Professor Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, distinguished educationist; Pavel Chowdhury, former Principal and President, College and University Teachers’ Association; Engineer G M Azizur Rahman, Principal, Jashore Polytechnic Institute; and Professor Dr. M. Abdus Samad, Head, EEE Department, World University of Bangladesh were present as special guests. Moreover, Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer; and Farhana Khanum Ferdousi, member, Board of Trustees of WUB were the other special guests. Prof. Dr. Musfiq M. Choudhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, delivered the welcome speech. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Founder & Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh (WUB) chaired the seminar.

Since the inception of World University of Bangladesh in 2003 it is organizing various seminars and symposiums to improve the quality of education. This initiative has been further enhanced after the adoption of the ‘Higher Education Improvement Project’ by UGC. Following this trend, this seminar was held with Principals and Departmental heads of some selected colleges in Jashore district. Respected and distinguished persons of the Jashore district were also present in this seminar.
