WUB Celebrates World Pharmacist Day

The Pharmacy Club (WUPC) of the World University of Bangladesh celebrated World Pharmacist Day on Thursday, 25 September 2025, under the global theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.”

The programme featured an engaging discussion session where speakers highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in ensuring quality healthcare, along with their responsibilities, available facilities, and future opportunities in the profession. They emphasized that pharmacists are indispensable partners in improving public health and advancing the nation’s healthcare system.

The celebration concluded by symbolizing unity and collective commitment to the advancement of the pharmacy profession.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam attended the event as Chief Guest, while Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, joined as Special Guests. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Harun-Or-Rashid, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, WUB.
