Seminar on Quantitative Research – Advancing Analytical Thinking and Research Competence

The Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) successfully organized a participatory seminar titled “Mastering Qualitative Research: Essential Tools and Techniques” on September 23, 2025, at the Founder Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium, WUB.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of WUB, as the Chief Guest. The program was chaired by Dr. Swapan Kumar Sarkar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering.

Faculty members and students from various departments, particularly those involved in research and thesis work, attended the seminar with great enthusiasm. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of mastering research methodologies to produce impactful academic work that contributes meaningfully to national development and scientific innovation.

The keynote presentation was delivered by Professor Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean of the World School of Business and Head of the Department of Business Administration, WUB — a distinguished expert in research methodology, data analysis, and research publication.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Swapan Kumar Sarkar expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests, keynote speaker, faculty members, and students for their active participation. He encouraged young researchers to continue exploring innovative research ideas and assured them of the department’s continued support in enhancing their academic and professional growth.
