The Department of Mechatronics
Engineering, WUB successfully organized a blanket distribution program
aimed at providing warmth and relief to vulnerable individuals and families during
the ongoing cold season. The initiative reflected the organization’s continued
commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare. The distribution took
place at the WUB campus on 16th January, 2026, where blankets
were provided to beneficiaries, including the elderly, children, and
economically disadvantaged families. Volunteers and members of the MTE department
actively participated in ensuring the smooth and dignified distribution of the
essential supplies.
Speaking on the occasion, the Registrar
of WUB and Joint
Registrar & Head of the departments believe “This blanket
distribution is a small but meaningful step toward ensuring comfort, dignity,
and care for those facing hardship. The Department of MTE remains dedicated to
standing with communities in times of need.”
The initiative is a part of MTE's
broader mission to promote social responsibility, compassion, and collective
action through practical support programs.
The Department of MTE plans to
continue similar humanitarian activities in the future, focusing on health,
education, and basic needs support for underserved populations.
