Knowledge Meets Technology: World University of Bangladesh Library Emerges as a Symbol of Modern Learning:

In today’s rapidly evolving academic landscape, a modern and resourceful library is more than just a place to store books—it serves as the heart of knowledge, research, and innovation. Embracing this vision, the Library of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has established itself as a dynamic knowledge hub, playing a vital role in supporting education, research, and intellectual development through technology-driven services and extensive academic resources.

Since the establishment of the university in 2003, the library has continuously progressed toward modernization. Today, it operates through an RFID-based automated library management system, enabling users to conveniently access online book searches, reservations, renewals, membership services, and various digital resources with ease.

The library features a well-designed reading space with seating capacity for more than 500 students at a time and serves approximately 1,000 users daily through its diverse academic services. Its rich collection includes over 15,000 printed books, more than 1,500 titles, nearly 1,000 printed journals, 10,000 thesis papers, over 30,000 e-books, along with extensive digital and multimedia resources.

To expand research opportunities, WUB Library provides access to internationally recognized academic databases including SCOPUS, JSTOR, SAGE, Emerald, Springer Nature, Wiley Online Library, and the UGC Digital Library. Through these platforms, students and researchers can access high-quality scholarly articles, journals, e-books, and essential reference materials from around the world.

The library also offers modern browsing stations and high-speed internet facilities, making information retrieval and research activities more efficient and accessible. Additional services such as research support, Google Scholar assistance, remote access facilities, and a dedicated Education Corner further contribute to students’ academic and personal development.

Beyond conventional library services, WUB Library promotes a research-friendly environment through a quiet study atmosphere, collaborative learning spaces, and technology-integrated facilities. Through the effective integration of knowledge, research, and technology, the library continues to establish itself as a modern and future-ready center of learning.
