The Fashion Design & Apparel Technology
program of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) arranged an industrial
visit to the renowned “Ayesha Abed Foundation (Aarong)” situated in Manikganj.
The program took place on May 18, 2026 (Monday). Around 35 students from the
department participated in the tour along with four faculty members, Md.
Mostafizur Rahman, Riazur Rahman, Tahsina Sharin, and Syeda Sadia Afrin.
Aarong, one of the most prestigious and
leading lifestyle and fashion brands in Bangladesh, is widely recognized for
its excellence in traditional craftsmanship, sustainable fashion, ethical
production, and artisan empowerment. During the visit, students gained
practical knowledge about the manufacturing process, design transformation,
color combination, difficulties in color matching or transformation,
handicrafts, embroidery, quality assurance, and modern production management
systems.
This industrial exposure helped students
connect theoretical learning with real-life industrial practices and inspired
them through Aarong’s innovative approach to fashion, design, and cultural
heritage preservation. The department remains committed to developing skilled
and industry-ready graduates through quality education and practical learning
experiences.
