The World University of Bangladesh (WUB)
successfully organized its Orientation
and Training Program for Fall 2026 on 11 and 12 September 2026 in the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium, WUB.
The two-day
program was arranged to warmly welcome newly admitted students and introduce
them to the academic environment, educational opportunities, university
facilities, rules and regulations, and various student support services of WUB.
The program also provided students with valuable insights into university life
and encouraged them to begin their academic journey with confidence,
enthusiasm, and a clear sense of purpose.
The program
commenced with a welcome speech by Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, WUB.
The event featured a series of informative and motivational sessions delivered
by distinguished academic and administrative leaders of the university.
As part of the
program, students from different academic programs also shared their
expectations and experiences. They reflected on their experiences as
WUB students and shared their expectations regarding academic life, learning
opportunities, and personal development.
Professor
Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and
Director of IQAC, addressed the
students and shared valuable insights on academic development, quality
education, and the importance of maintaining high standards throughout
university life.
Professor
Dr. Md. Shawkut Ali Khan, Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering, also delivered a speech, highlighting the
importance of technical knowledge, practical learning, and professional
preparation for students pursuing higher education.
The program
further featured an address by Shaiful Hannan, Joint Controller, along
with Professor M. Moqbul Hossain, Controller of Examinations, who
provided students with important information and guidance regarding academic
and examination-related matters.

Ahsan Touhid, Joint Registrar,
addressed the students and discussed various administrative aspects of
university life, helping newly admitted students become familiar with the
procedures and services available to them.
Professor
Dr. AQM Shafiul Azam, Dean of Academic Affairs and Research, shared his valuable guidance on academic
excellence, research, personal development, and the importance of developing a
strong foundation for future professional success.
The program was
honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Nurul Islam, Honorable Pro-Vice
Chancellor of WUB, who addressed the newly admitted students with an
inspiring and motivational speech. His valuable words encouraged the students
to make the most of their university experience, develop themselves beyond the
classroom, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Throughout the
two-day program, students had the opportunity to interact with university
leaders, faculty members, and administrative officials, enabling them to gain a
clearer understanding of academic expectations, campus life, and the resources
available to support their educational journey.
The Orientation
and Training Program for Fall 2026 concluded with an engaging and
interactive atmosphere, leaving the newly admitted students motivated and
better prepared to embark on their academic journey at WUB.
