A seminar titled “Career Blueprint: Planning Your Future
Beyond Graduation” was held today at the Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium of World University of Bangladesh
(WUB). The program commenced at 11:00
AM, bringing together distinguished academic leaders, faculty members,
and students for an engaging discussion on career planning and professional
development.
The seminar
featured S. M. Zahid Hasan, Senior
Executive Director, Walton Group, as the resource person. He shared
valuable insights and practical guidance on preparing students for their
professional journey after graduation, with particular emphasis on setting
clear career goals, developing industry-relevant skills, and adapting to the
rapidly changing job market.
Professor Dr. AQM Shafiul Azam,
Dean of Academic Affairs & Research;
Professor Dr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and
Engineering; and Professor Dr. Selim
Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies; World University of
Bangladesh, were present at the seminar, along with faculty members and
students from different departments of the university.
During the
session, the resource person also highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
emerging technologies in the modern workplace. Students were encouraged to
continuously develop their technical, professional, and soft skills to remain
competitive and adaptable in an evolving job market.
The seminar
served as a valuable platform for connecting academic learning with industry expectations, while encouraging
students to take a proactive and strategic approach toward planning their
future careers.
