Department of Pharmacy with the support of World University Pharmacy Club (WUPC) organized an Industrial Tour on 13^th May 2023 for the final year students to provide them an on-field experience of the pharmaceutical industry. During the tour they have visited the pharmaceutical plant of Techno Drugs Ltd. situated at Gazipur B.K Bari. This plant consists of several buildings facilitated with modern equipment and technologies. Hormone building, Penicillin building, Cephalosporin building and General building are dedicated to manufacture different dosage forms. Hormone building is well organized for manufacturing the contraceptive pills and implants. Students were allowed to observe the distribution of raw materials, granulation techniques, and compression of tablets and finally packaging of medicines. They also perceived practical knowledge about Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Heating, Ventilation and Air Condition (HVAC) system, maintenance of Clean Room facilities etc. After visiting the manufacturing plant the MD of Techno Drugs Ltd. Mr. Shah Jalal Uddin Ahmed approaches our team to visit Green tech resort for lunch and refreshments. This tour was comprehensive enough for the students to attain practical knowledge about operational procedure of pharmaceutical industry.
