Workshop on Research Design and Publication

The Department of Business Administration, World University of Bangladesh organized a workshop titled “Workshop on Research design and Publication” on Thursday, 08 January 2026, at 12.30 p.m. at the World University of Bangladesh.

Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB), attended the seminar as the Chief Guest. In this session, the special guest was Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, World University of Bangladesh. This session was conducted by Professor Dr. Mohammad Faisal Ahammad, Head of International Business Department, University of Leeds, UK.

The program commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Issa Ahammad, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Business Administration, followed by the anchoring of the session by Ms. Sakila Sultana, Lecturer in the same department.

The Chief Guest, Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam emphasized that such workshop provide students and faculty members with valuable opportunities to gain awareness on current research domain, particularly the importance of publication on the academic and professional career.

During the keynote speech, Professor Dr. Mohammad Faisal Ahammad provided imperative insights into publishing in international acclaimed journal. However, the discussion was very beneficial since he has extensive experience of working and publishing at national and international level. Additionally, the resource person addressed confidential information regarding the publication in the international journal. He also highlighted some aspects in which most of the academics struggle and how they can overcome it.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks from Professor Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Chairperson of the session. Dr. Ahmed expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in organizing the event. The seminar ended with an engaging question and answer session.
