Opportunities, Prospects, and Strategies for Higher Education and Research in China

The Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) successfully organized a seminar titled “Opportunities, Prospects, and Strategies for Higher Education and Research in China” at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium on Monday, June 8, 2026.

The seminar was conducted by Md. Riazur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering, WUB, who previously served as a Foreign Lecturer at the College of International Education, Zhongyuan University of Technology, China. Through his presentation, he shared valuable insights into higher education opportunities, scholarship prospects, research facilities, academic culture, and effective strategies for pursuing advanced studies in China.

The program was graced by Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of World University of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. The Special Guests were Prof. Zaki Imam, Registrar, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, WUB. The seminar was presided over by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design.

A large number of students, faculty members, and academic staff attended the seminar. The interactive session generated considerable interest among the participants, who actively engaged in discussions and raised questions regarding international higher education and research opportunities.

The seminar proved to be highly informative and beneficial, inspiring students to explore global academic opportunities and motivating them to pursue higher studies and research with greater confidence and determination.
