No student shall enter the premises before and after the prescribed hours and without ID card.
Students are not allowed to go out of the campus during class hours without permission from the respective course teacher.
All students are to return to their respective domicile after classes are completed at WUB.
Male students are not allowed to enter the girls’ common room and vice versa.
Students are not allowed to throw debris and waste here and there. Papers and waste materials must be deposited at the relevant waste paper box or dustbin.
Students are directed not to place their feet against the walls causing marks on the walls and other places.
Carrying of illegal materials and intoxicating substances in the university premises is strictly prohibited.
Smoking and taking intoxicating drugs are prohibited in the university campus.
No act of indiscipline in the campus is allowed.
All students of WUB shall enter the WUB premises showing their ID cards; violation of which shall entail fines.
No outsider shall be allowed entrance into the WUB premises without prior permission of the authority.
RULES RELATING TO THE USE OF GAME ROOMS
All students must enter their names in the relevant register and deposit their ID cards for taking delivery of items of game.
They are bound to return the non-consumable items/materials in the same good condition in which they took delivery from the attendant.
In case of any breakage/damage, the students are obliged to replace them or make good of the same in cash or kind.
Any dispute among the students must be reported to the Office of the Registrar without pressurizing the attendant.
RULES APPLICABLE FOR USE OF LABORATORIES
A student must show ID card before entering the lab.
A student must listen to the instructions of the lab authority prior to entry to the Labs.
No drinking or eating is allowed inside the labs. Carrying of such stuff is also strictly prohibited.
Students are not allowed to take their bags or any other materials inside the labs, but deposit these at the designated place.
Students should not put debris here and there and should clean the lab if they make it dirty.
Students are not allowed to take any lab materials or lab equipments outside the lab.
On completion of any activity or task at the labs, students shall place the equipments and other materials in places from where they were initially located.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR COMPUTERS
Use only one work station at a time.
If there is any problem with the facilities, do not try to fix it, report to the lab supervisor.
Do not modify the firmware installed which may cause serious malfunction to the work station.
Do not infect computing facilities with virus
Respect the privacy of others by refraining from accessing their files and/or electronic mails.
Do not delete or modify any file/fides or directory/ directories installed.
Do not shut down the workstation during open hours.
Do not play any form of computer games from any source, either hard disk, floppy, CD-ROM, Internet etc. at any time.
Do not view’ print, copy or download pornography and pornographic materials in any form.
Take permission from the instructor before inserting a floppy disk or CD in a computer drive.
Do not boot-up the workstation from any floppy disk.
Do not share your lo in and password with others.
Do not shutdown or restart the workstation during open hours unless authorized to do so.
Do not remove or relocate computing facilities
Do not harass others by sending annoying, obscene, libelous, or threatening messages.
Do not attempt to slow down the system by deliberately running wasteful operations, executing program, or sending mass e-mail other than authorized ones.
Please respect the finite capacity of the system and limit their use so as not to interfere unreasonably with activities of other users.
Do not run password cracking and network snooping programs.
Do not copy software unless it has been placed in the public domain.
Do not attempt to crash system or exploit weaknesses in security at any critical system (server & networking control system).
Do not add/remove any type of computer peripherals into the system unless authorized and supervised by laboratory assistant.
Do not chat on the network by using any form of chatting software.
Do not install any program or delete any file.
Do not change the settings of the computers.
Close all programs and log off after finishing the work.
Save your project or working files only on temporary basis. The Administrator has the right to delete file/ files any time.
RULES FOR USING THE LIBRARY OR BORROWING BOOKS
The university library shall remain open for students during specific hours. Students will not be allowed to sit or enter the library beyond the hours mentioned and without showing ID card.
To be a member of the library, two (2) copies of passport size photograph and a membership application form/card must be filled along with an application fee of TK. 50 plus TK. 1,000 as deposit. The deposit is refundable at the time of graduation provided the student has cleared all his/her dues of the university and has returned the book(s) issued to him/her in good condition.
Books are issued only to students for both outside use and study in the library. For issue of books for outside use, a student must be a member of the library.
To issue books for study in the library, students must approach the librarian or the person in charge and fill in the ‘entry register’. The books issued for study in the library cannot be taken outside the library. Violation of this rule will result in a penalty up to TK. 1000 for the first time. Subsequent violation will attract severe punishment.
A student must sign in the Register for issue of books at the time of issuing and returning of book(s). The concerned student shall be liable for any incident occurring for not signing on the Issue Register.
All book(s) issued for outside use are for a period of seven (7) working days, only.
No book(s) will be issued within the last 30 minutes prior to closing of the library.
Books issued must be returned within the prescribed return date. If anyone fails to return the book(s), he/she must have to pay a fine of Tk. 10 [Ten] for each day of default for the first seven working days and Taka 50 (fifty) for each of the next working days after expiry of the first seven working days.
A maximum of two book(s) can be issued at a time for outside use.
Students must point out any damage or writings on the book(s), if any, to the Librarian /Issuing Staff at the time of taking books on loans. If any damage or tearing of pages is done to any issued book(s) or if it is lost, the student shall replace the damaged/lost book(s) with a new one or pay compensation at the rate of twice of the acquisition price.
If a book(s) already issued to a student is not returned within the prescribed date or if a concerned student does not settle any determined liability, no further book(s) will be issued to him/her. A notification of this will be made to the respective Department of the student and the Office of Development and Accounts.
A student shall not write anything or put any mark inside the book(s). Any such writing or marking shall be treated as a damage done to the book(s) and then he/she would be treated under the Rule No. 10- 11.
A student shall not eat (including chewing) or drink, gossip, and make any noise inside the library. Mobile telephone sets (if any) should not be carried in the library unless they are turned off.
If any student wants to borrow any book(s) for photocopying purpose, the concerned student must take prior permission to this effect from the Librarian /Issuing officer.
Library memberships are valid up to one year and before it expires, a student must renew his/her card within the prescribed date after paying the required fee of TK. 50 only.
Breach of any of the rules as specified above shall be treated as acts of indiscipline and the authority shall deal with such matters according to the general rules pertaining to discipline.
